I’m a mature student, is GradWorx still applicable for me?

Yes absolutely. Our student and graduate members are of all ages and levels of experience. We understand that many of our members have taken their own unique paths through academia, but that the goal of finding your next great opportunity and best-fit employer is the same, no matter what age. Your uniqueness is your strength, so let potential employers see that through your GradWorx profile.

I’m not a student or a graduate, is this platform still right for me?

Yes, we like to think so. GradWorx has been designed and built to make all opportunities available to everyone, equally. Whether you are just finishing high school and considering working instead of college or university, are looking for some work experience to best figure out your future career, or are finishing university and looking to jump straight into the workforce - GradWorx is for you.

Our SME members are seeking the best talent for their businesses, teams and requirements. The needs of each business varies across a multitude of ways, so we welcome a wide range of candidates to join GradWorx. We do however, specialise in early careers and our platform has been specifically built to encompass the graduate recruitment process.

What happens to my account once I've secured a job I love?

GradWorx will always be here for you, even during your new employment. Just change your ‘Type of role’ status to ‘Not currently job hunting’ to signify that you are no longer available or looking for new opportunities. By keeping your account live, GradWorx will be accessible and fully set up should you seek a new opportunity or career advancement in the future.

How do I keep track of the jobs I've applied for?

Our student/graduate profiles all contain a private folder within your personal account, where you can see all of your recent applications and keep track of those that have been submitted, started and saved as a draft. This gives you one central place to track and monitor submissions and reuse previous responses to recruiter questions.

Are my contact details public for all to see?

No, your contact details will never be publicly available. Only our SME members will be able to see your profile and contact details. We want to maximise the exposure you have to best-fit employers and make contact between you and them as easy as possible.

Who can view my CV?

Only our companies and recruiter members will be able to view your profile and attached CV.

Do I need a CV or can I build one on the platform?

You don’t need to have a CV to build up your profile on GradWorx. We’ve created our platform to support graduates to craft a detailed and relevant profile that is reflective of them as individuals as well as professionals, highlighting their potential fit for our companies and recruiters. However, if you would like to upload a copy of your CV to your profile, you can do this too and have it available and accessible to recruiters should they wish to see it. Our goal is to provide all the tools necessary to help you stand out from the crowd and maximise your potential in landing the perfect job role that will help you thrive.

What can I do to make my profile stand out from other graduates?

The short answer is - complete as much of your personal profile as you can, using the tools we have incorporated from proven social media platforms and professional networking strategies. Our platform allows you to utilise a range of tools to upload short videos, complete written responses, list previous work experience, detail personal statements of intent and document your goals, aspirations, skills and interests. You can also preemptively list your responses to a number of commonly asked recruitment questions, to help you stand out to potential employers. Your profile forms part of every job application you make, meaning you can apply with your best foot forward, save time per application and avoid repetitive work.

The more detailed your personal profile is, the more it will reflect who you are as an individual, your professional potential and your potential ful with the right company and role.

What happens to our account if we don’t have any job adverts live?

Your company profile will remain active at all times, regardless as to whether you have any job listings live or not. Students and graduates will be able to search for you, save your company into their favourites folder and keep tabs on your company profile for any future roles you may advertise.

Do I have to pay extra for each team member who uses our company account?

Currently, you can add up to 10 different users within your company profile to work collaboratively on your recruitment needs.

What can I expect the hiring process to look like inside the platform?

GradWorx has been designed to make the hiring process as easy, efficient, collaborative and effective as possible for our SME members.

  • The registration process starts with creating an engaging Company Profile, as this will amplify your businesses presence and will form a part of the job adverts as you begin to post them.
  • Secondly, create an engaging, informative and attractive job advert that captures the attention of your ideal candidate. You can also add up to four tailored questions that align with your company and job role, to help you pre-qualify all applications. Once your job advert is ready, simply hit publish!
  • Over the next 30 days, you will receive quality applications from candidates straight into your GradWorx applications folder, which is accessible to other members of your internal team too for collaborative review. During this phase, you will also be able to communicate directly with prospective candidates. Recruitment is, after all, a human interaction therefore by prioritising this engagement you are more likely to harbour better results for your company.
  • Candidate applications will come through with full access to their personal profile, which can include: short videos, written responses, examples of previous professional or project work, links to their online work and interests as well as the responses to the optional questions you included in the job advert.
  • The applications folder for each job role advertised will show a short description of each candidates application, highlighting their skills, interest and how they align with the qualities you are looking for. This functionality streamlines application sorting on the companies end and allows you to prioritise which applications to review first.
  • Once an application has been reviewed, it can be sorted into sub-folders for future action, review or communication.
  • Once you have a short-list of candidates, email invitations can be triggered to invite candidates to interview.

What can I do to make my job adverts stand out from others?

The short answer - add as much detail as you think is necessary to give candidates a great understanding of your company, it’s culture, values, environment and ways of working as possible.

Focus on the role you are seeking to recruit for, projecting the huge opportunity this provides for a student or graduate to learn and thrive within your company, whilst driving their own professional development. Finally, ensure all important information such as; salary, start date, recruitment timeline, expectations etc are clearly displayed, so all candidates are fully informed prior to application. Use your job adverts to project a feeling of inclusion, value and ensure they feel a part of the team right from the beginning, as this will only improve your chances of attracting best-fit candidates to choose from.

How many jobs can I have at one time?

As many as you need! Just create a new job advert for each individual job you are looking to recruit for. The more roles you post, the more students and graduates will notice and follow you, apply and recommend you to their friends and colleagues - giving your company maximum exposure and quality candidate applications.

How much does it cost to post a job advert?

We’ve created a clear, transparent and affordable pricing structure that meets the needs and budgets of our active SME members. As part of our launch, we are offering our GradWorx members the following pricing structure, for a limited time period:

  • £199 for the first 30 days, and if you need more time;
  • £99 for an extended 30 day period

When was GradWorx set up?

The idea for GradWorx has been cultivated since 2021, followed by the initiation of our user research, design and build work in 2022. After a soft launch and extensive user testing early-2023, we will be formally launching and scaling the platform post-September 2023. For students and graduates, GradWorx is completely free. We are here to support you in your job search, career development and help you land your first career role.

For SMEs, GradWorx is free to sign up and create your profile, from which you can start getting noticed. When you are ready to advertise and start recruiting for your first of many graduate hires, we have a transparent, affordable and valuable pay-per-job package.
